본 연구는 동물주제 말 리듬 놀이가 만 2세반 영아의 음악적 성향과 신체표현능력에 미치는 효과를 알아보는데 있다. 이를 위해 경기도 Y시 G구에 소재한 N어린이집의 만 2세반 영아 14명(실험집단)과 동일한 G구에 소재한 L어린이집 만 2세반 영아 14명(비교집단)을 연구대상으로 하여 실험집단의 영아들에게는 8주 총 16회 차로 각 30분씩의 동물주제 말 리듬 놀이를 실시하였다. 이후 음악적 성향과 신체표현능력에 미치는 효과를 검증하기 위해 독립표본 t 검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 동물주제 말 리듬 놀이는 만 2세반 영아의 음악적 성향과 신체표현능력 모두에서 유의미한 효과를 나타내었다. 이러한 연구결과는 동물주제 말 리듬 놀이가 만 2세반 영아의 음악적 성향과 신체표현능력을 증진시킬 수 있는 효과적인 음악교수방법으로 활용될 수 있음을 시사한다.


The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of speech rhythm play with the theme of animals on the musical disposition and physical expression skills of toddlers in classes of two-year-olds. 14 toddlers who were in a class of two-year-olds in a daycare center in a district of a city in Gyeonggi Province were selected as an experimental group, and 14 toddlers who were in a class of two-year-olds in another daycare center located in the same district were selected as a control group. The toddlers of the experimental group engaged in speech rhythm play with the theme of animals in 16 sessions during an eight-week period of time, 30 minutes each. And then independent-samples t-test was conducted to verify what effects it had on musical disposition and physical expression skills. As a result, the speech rhythm play that dealt with the theme of animals was found to have significant effects on both of the musical disposition and physical expression skills of the toddlers in the classes of two-year-olds. The findings of the study suggest that the speech rhythm play with the theme of animals could be utilized as one of effective music teaching methods that could foster the musical disposition and physical expression skills of toddlers in classes of two- year-olds.
