본 연구의 목적은 글 없는 그림책을 활용한 창의적 음악극 활동이 유아의 음악표현능력과 시각적 문해에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 데 있다. 이를 위해 서울시에 소재한 A유치원에 재원 중인 만 4세반 유아 33명 중 실험집단 16명, 비교집단 17명을 대상으로 글 없는 그림책을 활용한 창의적 음악극 활동이 유아의 음악표현능력과 시각적 문해에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 연구 진행 과정에서 실험집단은 글 없는 그림책을 활용한 창의적 음악극 활동을 실시하였고 비교집단은 글 없는 그림책을 활용한 동극 활동을 실시하였다. 연구 기간은 주 2회 총 12회 진행되었으며, 사전․사후에는 음악표현능력 검사와 시각적 문해 검사를 개별적인 공간에서 실시하였다. 또한 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0을 사용하여 독립적 t-test를 실시하여 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과, 글 없는 그림책을 활용한 창의적 음악극 활동은 유아의 음악표현능력과 시각적 문해에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 글 없는 그림책을 활용한 창의적 음악극 활동의 효과를 검증하고 현장에서의 유아교육적 실천 방안을 제시하였다.
The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of creative music drama activities using wordless picture books on musical expressive abilities and visual literacy of young children. For this purpose, such effects were observed on 33 four-year-olds from kindergarten A located in Seoul, divided into an experiment group of 16 children and a comparison group of 17 children. The experiment group carried out creative music drama activities using the picture-free wordless picture books, and the comparison group participated in drama activities using the identical wordless picture books used in the experiment group. The activities were conducted twice a week for a total of 12 experimental treatments, and pre and post musical expressive abilities test and visual literacy tests were performed in separate spaces. Collected data were analyzed by an independent t-test using SPSS 18.0. As a result of this study, the creative musical drama activities using the wordless picture books is found to have a positive effect on the children's musical expressive abilities and perception of the number of things perception among visual literacy ability. Based on the result, this study verified the effects of creative music drama activities using wordless picture books and suggested ways to practice on the field of early childhood education.
