본 연구는 토익 교육･학습을 주제로 국내 학술지에 게재된 논문을 분석하여 최근까지의 연구 결과를 정리하고자하였다. 그 목적을 위하여 2005년 이후 출판된 55편의 관련 논문을 수집하고, 연구된 토익 시험 분야, 연구 대상자, 연구 방법, 연구 주제를 기준으로 분류를 시도하였다. 연구 결과 연구 대상자면에서는 대학생 외 보다 다양한 집단의 연구 참여자를 대상으로 하는 것이 필요하고 연구대상자의 토익 점수 수준에 대한 정보가 반드시 제공되어야 할 것으로 생각된다. 대부분의 논문들에서 양적 연구방법이 사용되고 있는 바, 질적 연구 방법의 더 많은 활용이 연구의 다양성 측면에서 필요하다. 분석 대상 연구들은 특정한 교수법, 온라인 및 블렌디드 러닝, 학습자중심 교육, 전략 사용, 학습 동기 등 다양한 주제를 다루고 있었는데, 분석 결과를 바탕으로 앞으로의 연구 방향이 제시되어 있다.
The purpose of this study is to examine the articles related to TOEIC teaching or studying published in Korean academic journals during recent years to review what has been studied in the field. For the purpose, 55 collected articles published since 2005 were analyzed in terms of language skills that TOEIC is to assess, research participants, research methods, and research themes. Regarding research participants, more various groups of students are needed to participate in future studies, and the information on their TOEIC score levels should be provided. Since most studies in recent years adopted qualitative research methods, more qualitative approach would contribute to the diversity in terms of research method. The articles analyzed explored diversified topics such as teaching methods, online and blended learning, student-centered learning, strategy, learner motivation, etc. Based on the results of the analyses, a few suggestions were made on the future research in the field.
