본 연구는 문화체험활동을 활용해서 한국어로 진행되는 언어·문화 수업을 설계하는 연구이다. 이 수업은 문화체험활동이 끝난 후에 교실에서 진행되는 한국어 수업이기 때문에 언어를 중심으로 문화를 통합했다. 언어 기능은 표현의 효과성과 교실 상황의 특수성을 고려해서 ‘쓰기’를 중심으로 통합했다. 쓰기 내용은 유학생이 문화체험에서 알게 되고 느끼게 된 완전한 경험을 쓰도록 했다. 문화체험활동은 언어교육원의 전교생이 참여하기 때문에 한국어 수준별로 과제 내용, 텍스트 유형, 텍스트 성격 등을 나눴고, 이를 모형으로 제시했다. 전체적인 수업 구성은 과정 중심 교수법으로 설계했고, 언어교육원의 운영 상황을 고려했다. 또한 한국어 수준별로 실제 수업 운영 과정을 제시하고 각 수준별 수업의 특징을 상세하게 설명했다. 설계된 수업은 한국문화 체험과 한국어가 유기적으로 연계되도록 돕고, 유학생들의 통합적 한국어 능력 향상과 한국문화에 대한 이해를 높이는 데 기여할 수 있을 것이다. 한국어 능력 향상과 한국문화에 대한 이해를 높이는 데 기여할 수 있을 것이다.
The purpose of this study was to design a language-culture instruction performed in Korean using activity of culture experience. This instruction is a 'Korean' one after activity of culture experience, therefore, the culture is integrated around language. The function is integrated focusing on 'writing' based on the importance of writing and the difficulties that learners face in writing. The contents of writing was determined as something 'understood' and 'felt' by foreign students in Korea. This study assumed, especially, that the instructional design by levels is required since all the students enrolled in Korean Language Course participate in the activity of culture experience. This means that the task, text type, and text characteristic are presented by the level of learners, which is a presented model. Since the 'writing' is a key element, the overall organization of instruction followed the process-centered writing, and, considering practical aspects of language education institution, two hours was determined as the length of instruction. For the exploration of the applicability of the proposed model, the actual instruction process by levels was presented, and the variables that should be considered by teacher and the purpose of team-based activities were clearly stated. The designed instruction is expected to helpful in the excellent linkage of Korean culture experience and Korean language and contribute to improvement of Korean capacity of foreign students and their understandings of Korean culture.
