연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 학교와 지역사회 연계에 대한 학교장의 인식에 영향을 미치는 요인을 탐색하는 것이다. 연구방법: 선행연구 고찰을 통해 학교와 지역사회 연계에 대한 학교장의 인식에 미치는 영향요인을 크게 학교장의 개인배경, 학교배경, 학교경영 요인으로 분류하여 탐색하였다. 이를 위해 경기도교육연구원이 2012년부터 구축하고 있는 종단데이터인 경기교육종단연구(GEPS) 5차년도 자료를 사용하여 차이검정(t-test)과 회귀분석을 적용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과: 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학교장의 개인배경 변인에 따른 연계인식 차이를 확인한 결과, ‘교장공모제 임용’을 통해 부임한 학교장이 그렇지 않은 학교장에 비해 학교와 지역사회 연계에 대한 인식을 더욱 높게 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학교와 지역사회 연계에 대한 학교장의 인식은 읍면지역보다 도시지역에 위치한 학교일수록, 그리고 예술체육 중점학교 사업을 운영하는 학교일수록 더욱 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학교와 지역사회 연계에 대한 학교장의 인식에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 확인한 결과, 학교경영 변인 중 ‘학교풍토’와 ‘단위학교 자율성’이 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 논의 및 결론: 본 연구는 학교와 지역사회 연계를 강조하는 교육정책이 효과적으로 시행되기 위해서는 학교장의 역할이 중요할 뿐 아니라, 이를 지원하기 위한 학교풍토 및 자율성 제고를 위한 거시적이고 조직적인 차원에서 접근이 이루어져야 함을 보여준다.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the factors affecting the principal's perception of school and community links. Method: Through previous research, the affecting factors on the principal's perception of school and community connectivity were divided into the school director's background, school background, and school management. This study employed t-test and regression analysis using data from the 5th Panel Study on Korean students, teachers and principals administered by the Gyeonggi-do Educational Research Institute since 2012. Results: The results of the analysis were as follows. First, there’s significant difference on principals’ recognition by principals’ personal background. The principal who was hired by the 'Open Recruiting Principal Employment System' had a higher perception of the school and community connection than the principal who was not. Second, the perception of school-community linkages for principals working in schools located in urban areas was higher for the ones with the school in rural areas, and the principals' perception of school-community linkages with schools running arts and physical education program was higher than the one with general schools. Third, as a result of examining the factors affecting the principal's perception of the school-community connection, 'school climate' and 'unit school autonomy' had positive effects on it. Conclusion: Based on the finding, the implications for improving principal's perception of the school-community connection at organizational level were discussed.
