연구목적: 이 연구에서는 경찰학과 대학생이 지각하는 조절초점과 자기조절학습, 진로탐색행동의 구조적 관계를 Klehe와 Van Hooft(2018)의 모형을 기반으로 검증하고, 조절초점과 진로탐색행동의 관계에서 자기조절학습의 매개효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 연구방법: 연구대상은 부산, 경남, 울산지역 7개 경찰학과 재학생 420명이었으며, 불성실하게 응답한 설문지를 제외하고 최종적으로 381명 자료를 구조방정식 모형으로 분석하였다. 분석은 SPSS 24.0 과 AMOS 22.0으로 통계 분석하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 조절초점의 하위요인인 향상초점은 진로탐색행동에 직접적인 영향을 미치고, 자기조절학습을 매개로 간접 영향도 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 자기조절학습의 부분 매개효과를 확인하였다. 둘째, 조절초점의 하위요인인 예방초점은 진로탐색행동에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 결론 및 논의: 이 연구결과에서 경찰학과 대학생들이 안전 지향적 예방초점보다는 성장 지향적 향상초점을 가지는 것이 진로탐색행동에 도움이 되는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 경찰학과 대학생들이 가지는 향상초점은 자기조절학습을 향상시켜 진로탐색행동을 촉진시킨다는 사실을 확인하였다. 이 연구의 제한점을 제시하였고, 추후 연구를 위한 제언을 제안하였다.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to demonstrate structural relationship based on the model of Klehe and Van Hooft(2018) among regulatory focus, self-regulated learning and career exploration behavior and to examine the mediating effects of self-regulated learning between the regulatory focus and career exploration behavior of college/university students majoring in police administration. Method: Subjects were initially 420 students majoring in police administration from seven colleges/universities in the Busan, Gyeongnam and Ulsan area and a total of 381 respondents were used for the final analysis. SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 22.0 were analyzed for the statistical analyses. Results: The results showed that there were statistically significant correlations among the regulatory focus, self-regulated learning and career exploration behavior. Promotion focus directly affected career exploration behavior and indirectly affected when self-regulated learning acted as a mediator. It was shown that self-regulated learning had an partially mediating effect on career exploration behavior. Then, prevention focus did not have any statistically significant influence on career exploration. Conclusion: This study indicated that college/university students majoring in police administration need to foster promotion focus with a growth-oriented perspective rather than prevention focus with a safe-oriented perspective when executing career exploration behavior. Promotion focus had a positive effect on self-regulated learning and contributed to further career exploration behavior. The limitation and implications of further study were discussed and suggested based on this result.
