The Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) constitutes an approach to the measurement of tourist satisfaction which allows for a functional method to find both the weak and strong points of tourism product. The purpose of this study was to identify and evaluate the attributes (e.g., natural and man-made resources, attractions, facilities, services and activities) of a potential tourist destination in Gangwon province. A self-administered questionnaire was designed to collect data from tourists at the tourism site in Donghae city, Gangwon. The questionnaire was conducted to measure the importance of certain destination attributes for tourists and also their satisfaction with the destination. The study applied the IPA which indicated that convenience facilities such as public restroom and parking lot, price and public transportation were the major factors to increase tourists’ satisfaction. From the research results, the authors discuss some useful implications.
