Mirziyoyev succeeded Karimov's foreign policy in the presidential campaign promise until he was elected president on December 4, 2016. Mirziyoyev, however, announced the Uzbekistan's Development Strategy for 2017-2021 on February 7, 2017, just 65 days after he was elected president. The new foreign policy was presented in this reform. Mirziyoyev has achieved his objectives by promptly pursuing the tasks he has defined since his election. Mirziyoyev carried out this diplomatic activity for two years in Central Asian countries. Indeed, the international relations and international order in the region have been shown to be friendly and stable, unlike the Karimov regime. The world paid attention to his foreign policy and began to analyze how the new foreign policy of the Mirziyoyev regime was pursued. Mirziyoyev did not have to make any changes to the existing foreign policy after he was elected president, and he had no reason to do so quickly, even if he wanted to. It was hard to understand that international relations and international order in Central Asia have changed favorably and it could develop positively in the future. Based on the above questions, this study will be developed as follows. First, it will be analyzed why Mirziyoyev established a foreign policy different from the Karimov regime. Second, it will be analyzed why Mirziyoyev quickly dealt with the newly established foreign policy. Third, the characteristics of Mirziyoyev's pragmatic foreign policy will be analyzed.
