본 연구의 목적은 전공능력과 NCS 직업기초능력을 동시에 교육할 수 있는 전공융합형 교과목 설계를 위한 기초적인 자료를 제공하는 것이다. 이를 위해 A 대학 비서전공의 비서직무와 관련된 NCS 직업기초능력을 산업체 요구도 분석, 교과목과 직업기초능력의 관련성 분석을 통해 전공융합 교과목으로 도출하는 절차를 사례로 제시하였다. 연구 결과, 비서전공은 직무 특성이 직업기초와 연계된 내용이 많아 직업기초역량을 기반으로 한 전공융합 교육과정의 가능성을 보여 주었다. 전공융합 교과목의 궁극적 목표는 분절된 지식에서 벗어나 직무를 총체적으로 이해하는 것이므로 전공교과목 간의 유기적 연계를 충분히 고려하여 적용 가능한 교과목 모형을 찾는 것이 중요하다. 학과와 전공의 특성을 고려하여 전공융합형 교과목을 개발하는 시도는 역량기반의 직업교육을 강화하는 하나의 방안이 될 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구는 기존의 NCS 기반의 교육과정개발 절차를 활용한 보완적 설계로써 역량기반의 전공융합형 교과목 개발을 위한 기초자료가 될 것으로 기대한다. 무엇보다 모든 직무의 핵심역량으로 강조되고 있는 직업기초능력을 비서직무와 연계하여 실제 전공융합형 교과목의 사례를 제시했다는 실무적 차원의 의의를 지닌다. 향후, 수요자 요구에 기반을 둔 전공융합형 교과목의 다양한 사례연구 및 그 실효성을 검증하는 연구가 후속 과제로 이어져야 할 것이다.
The purpose of this study was to provide the basic framework for a major convergence course by linking vocational key competencies with major subjects. To this end, the case of ‘A’ college secretary major was presented as an example of the process that derives NCS vocational key competencies related to the secretary’s job as a major convergence subject through an analysis of industrial needs and the relationship between the subject and vocational key competence. The study indicated that the secretary majors are related to vocational key competencies, which show the possibility of convergence major course. Because the ultimate goal of major fusion subjects is to understand the job as a whole from the segmented knowledge, it is important to find an applicable curriculum model considering interrelated linkage between the major courses depending on the characteristics of the majors. Various attempts at developing convergence courses may be a way to strengthen competency-based vocational education. In the future, many cases of major fusion curricula that fully reflect the requirements analysis based on the various demands of consumers and the study to verify its effectiveness will be a follow-on task. This study has the practical significance to the direction of major fusion subjects by presenting the case where vocational key competencies are emphasized as the core competence of all jobs linked with the secretary’s job.
