신라향가는 신라인들의 소통과 신앙과 기원 수단으로서 늘 대중들 곁에 있던 장르이다. 신라향가는 현재 중등교육에서 지속적으로 다루고, 신라향가 관련 아동·일반 대중서와 오페라·가무악극(歌舞樂劇)등 대중예술도 계속 발간·창작되고 있다. 신라향가에서 취재(取材)한 소설, 시, 희곡은 당시의 예술혼을 잇고, 신라향가 관련 문화유산은 향후 관광문화콘텐츠로 활용될 여지가 높다. 이에 신라향가 테마파크를 조성하여 향가 교육의 장, 문예·예술 감상·창작의 공간, 음악·가무악극·뮤지컬 상시 공연 공간, 관광인문학의 장, 문화콘텐츠 산업과 마케팅 공간을만들 것을 제안한다. 이 공간은 박물관·전시관·기념관의 장점을 살릴 수 있고, 아동·청소년들이 화랑 그리고 신라인의 삶과 생각을 이해하고, 대중들이 불교미술이나 조각, 불교음악 등에 대한 소양을 갖추는 데 도움을 줄 것이다. 문예 창작과 음악 미술 공연 등 다양한 예술은 대중들의 역사의식을 일깨우고, 상상력과 창의력을 제고해 줄 것이며, 향가나관련서사에 등장하는 천수대비나 장육삼존 등 불상, 문전(紋甎)과 전탑(塼塔), 사천왕사 녹유신장상, 건달바나 처용가면 등을 제작해보는 체험 프로그램은 가족이나 관광객들의 일체감을 높일 것이다. 꿈과 환상의 세계를 담은 신라향가 관련 설화는 ‘비일상성’ 이 강한 디지털 콘텐츠로 변모할 가능성까지 높다. 신라향가 테마파크는 앞으로 국내외 관광객과 소비자의 다양한 욕구를 충족시키고, 문화산업과 문화콘텐츠 시대의 새 장을 열어줄 것임을 확신한다.
Sila Hyanga is a genre that has always ben with the public as a means of communication, faith, and prayer of Sila people. Sila Hyanga continues to be a part of the secondary schol curiculum. The popular arts such as children’s boks, boks for the general public, operas and Gamuak-geuk(歌舞 樂劇, song-dance-music theatre) related to Sila Hyanga are also being published and created. It is highly likely that the novels, poems, and plays based on Sila Hyanga wil continue to show the artistic spirit of Sila period, and the cultural heritages related to Sila Hyanga wil be used as tourism and cultural contents in the future. Therefore, it is sugested to establish a Sila Hyanga Theme Park; the park’s atractions are al Hyanga themed. Sila Hyanga Theme Park wil provide a venue for education; a space for literary & artistic apreciation and creation; a performance stage for music, Gamuak-geuk, and musical play; a place for Humanities in Tourism; and space for CCI(cultural contents industry) and marketing. The park can provide features that build on the strengths of a museum, exhibition hal and memorial place and children and young people wil experience the life and thoughts of Hwarang and Sila people. Visitors can enjoy and develop knowledge in Budhist arts, sculptures, and music
