이 연구는 인물의 마음 읽기 교육 방법에 대해서 논의하였다. 먼저 ‘마음이론’에 대한 연구 성과를 토대로 인물의 마음 읽기에 대해 이론적 논의를 전개하였다. 다음으로 인물의 마음 읽기에 관여하는 작용 기제를 제시하였다. 인물의 마음 읽기 과정에서 핵심적인 작용 기제는 추론과 상위표상이다. 추론은 인물의 마음 상태에 대한 정보를 포착하여 새로운 정보를 도출하는 과정에 활용되며, 상위표상은 독자가 인물에게 귀속시킨 인물의 마음을 내적으로 다시 한번 표상한 것이다. 마지막으로 인물의 마음 읽기 교육 방법을 제안하였다. 구체적 교육 방법으로는 ‘인물의 마음 추론을 위한 전략적 관찰자 되기’, ‘시간의 흐름에 따른 인물의 마음 추적하기’, ‘인물의 마음 추론 결과를 뒷받침하는 이유 찾기’ 등이 있다. 이 연구에서는 마음에 대한 인지과학의 최근 성과를 토대로 인물의 마음 읽기 교육의 새로운 방향을 제안하고자 하였다. 앞으로 인지 과학의 연구 성과를 활용하여 인물 교육 이론의 갱신과 더불어 인물 이해의 새로운 시각을 확보하기 위한 후속 연구가 이어지길 기대한다.
This study discussed the direction of the contents of mind reading education for the characters. First of all, based on the research results on 'theory of mind', the theoretical discussion about the reading of the character's mind was developed. Next, the mechanism of action involved in reading the mind of the person was presented. The key mechanisms of action in the reading process of a person's mind are inference and representation. Inference is used in the process of capturing information about the state of a person's mind and deriving new information, and the upper representation is a representation of the person's mind internally once again attributed to the person. Lastly, I suggested a method for teaching the mind reading of the characters. Specific education methods include 'becoming a strategic observer', 'tracking the minds of people', and 'reasoning minds using world-knowledge.'
