영재교육원들이 양적 성장과 더불어 질적 성장을 위해 진력하고 있는 상황에서 영재교육원을 대상으로 다양한 주제의 연구들이 수행되어왔다. 이에 본 연구에서는 범주 분석과 텍스트 분석을 활용해 영재교육원 관련 연구 문헌을 분석하여 영재교육원에 대한 연구 동향을 파악하고 향후 과제를 전망하고자 하였다. 연구 결과, 대부분의 연구가 양적 연구나 문헌 분석을 바탕으로 이루어졌기에 학생 개개인에 대한 질적 연구를 바탕으로 영재교육원 운영과 프로그램 개선의 방향성을 모색해야 할 것으로 판단되었으며, 학생의 영재성 탐색과 선발 방안, 그리고 진로 선택 제시와 관련한 연구가 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 이는 잠재 디리클레 할당을 통한 토픽 모델링을 기반으로 6개의 주제를 도출한 후, 주제 구성 단어들로 텍스트 네트워크를 도식화한 결과와도 깊은 연관성을 보여주었다. 결론적으로 영재교육원들이 교육하고자 하는 과학 분야를 영재들의 특성과 능력에 맞추어 구성하고자 노력하는 모습이 나타났으며, 이와 관련하여 실질적 개선을 위한 제언점을 제시하였다.
With education institute for gifted striving for qualitative growth along with quantitative growth, research on various subjects has been conducted for education institute for gifted. In this study, the research literature related to education institute for gifted was analyzed using category analysis and text analysis to identify trends in research and propose future tasks for education institute for gifted. The results of the study showed that since most of the studies were based on quantitative or literary analysis, the direction of the management of the education institute for gifted and program improvement should be sought based on qualitative research on each student, and that there was a lack of research related to students' search for the giftedness, selection methods and career choice. It also showed a deep link to the results of drawing six topics based on topic modeling through Latent Dirichlet Allocation, and then scheming the text network with topic-configured words. In particular, network analysis showed that education institute for gifted were trying to organize the science field to suit the characteristics and abilities of gifted students, and in this connection, researchers suggested suggestions for practical improvement.
