이 연구의 목적은 해양경찰공무원 함정근무자의 우울관련 연구를 위해 우울정도를 측정하는 “역학연구를 위한 우울척도(CES-D)”를 실증적으로 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 2019년 현재 인천해양경찰서와 서해5도 특별경비단 소속으로 함정근무 중인 해양경찰공무원 351명을 연구의 대상으로 선정하였으며, 신뢰도 분석과 탐색적 요인분석, 확인적 요인분석 등의 방법을 통해 CES-D 척도를 검증하였다. 연구결과는 함정근무 해양경찰공무원의 CES-D 우울척도에 대한 탐색적 요인분석으로 3가지 요인으로 구분됨을 확인하였으며, 신뢰도 분석의 경우 요인 1이.91, 요인 2 .88, 요인 3이 .81로 높게 나타났으며, 확인적 요인분석 결과 모형 적합도 역시 적절한 것으로 확인되었다. 하지만 불명확한 요인으로 구성으로 인해요인 1을 제거한 8개 문항으로 구성된 CES-D 척도를 재구성하여, 모형적합도 검정결과 적합한 모형임을 확인하였다. 함정근무 해양경찰공무원에 대한 CES-D 우울척도 타당성 연구결과는 향후 건강영향 평가, 근무환경 개선, 건강복지 증진 등의 연구에 활발하게 활용되어 열악한 환경에서 근무하는 해양경찰공무원과 관련한 연구에 활용될 것으로 예상된다.
The purpose of this study is to empirically test the "Depression Scale for Epidemiologic Studies (CES-D)", which measures the degree of depression for the depression-related study of Korea Coast Guard Officers. To this end, 351 Korea Coast Guard Officers working on vessel as part of the Incheon Maritime Police Station and the West Coast Special Guard Corps as of 2019 were selected as the subjects of the study. The CES-D scale was verified. The findings of this study are exploratory factor analysis of CES-D depression scales of maritime police officers in shipbuilding, and three factors were identified.In reliability analysis, factor 1 was .91, factor 2 .88, and factor 3 were .81. As a result of confirmatory factor analysis, model fit was also found to be appropriate. However, the CES-D scale, which consists of eight items from which factor 1 was removed due to the uncertainty of the composition, was reconstructed to confirm that the model was good. The feasibility study of CES-D depression scale for Korea Coast Guard Officers will be actively used for future health impact assessment, working environment improvement, and health welfare improvement, and will be used for research on marine police officers working in poor environment. It is expected.
