修辭學은 단순한 언어적 기교나 기술을 말하는 것이 아니라, 文(문) 즉 예로부터 전해 내려오는 기록에 의해 도리를 천명하고 나아가 자신의 의지를 피력함으로써 상대방을 바른길로 이끄는 일련의 과정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 [좌전]의 세 가지 사례 분석을 통해서, 자산이 예로부터 내려오는 고문헌에 기록된 선조들이 전해준 도리에 따라서 발언하고 나아가 실천하려고 노력한 인물이었음을 증명해보고자 한다. 바꿔 말해서 자산은 예로부터 내려오는 도리를 진심으로 믿고 섬기며 따르는 어짊의 仁(인)을 실천하는 ‘修辭立其誠’을 따랐던 인물이었고, 또한 修辭를 위한 文(문)-言(언)-志(지) 과정을 충실히 이행한 전형적인 인물이었음을 밝히고자 한다.
Rhetoric is not merely a verbal skill or technique, but a series of processes that lead the listener to the right path by explaining the truth and further affirming the speaker's will in accordance with the written records handed down from ancient times. And with three case analyses from The book of right in this paper, I would like to demonstrate that Zi-chan was the one who tried to speak and go on to practice according to the truth written in ancient literature. In other words, I would like to say that Zi-chan was a person who followed the rhetoric's platform of sincerely believing and following the moral code of the old, and also a typical person who fulfilled the principle of rhetoric that he should express his will according to old records.
