본고는 다문화 배경 학습자를 대상으로 사용하는 현행 언어발달 검사 도구의 문제 점과 개선방안을 제시하는 데에 목적이 있다. 학교에 입학하는 다문화 배경 학습자의 수 가 크게 증가하면서 이들의 언어수준을 정확하게 진단할 수 있는 언어발달 검사 도구의 필요성도 함께 증가하고 있다. 다문화 배경 학습자를 대상으로 하는 효과적인 한국어 교 육을 위해서는 이들의 언어능력을 정확하게 진단할 수 있는 검사도구가 절실함에도 현 행 검사 도구는 신뢰도의 측면에서, 검사 문항의 적절성 측면에서 만족스럽지 못하다. 정 확하고 신뢰할 수 있는 검사 도구가 되기 위한 방법을 제시하기 위해 먼저 현재 사용하 고 있는 언어발달 검사 도구의 현황을 분석하여 검사 도구의 검사 방법과 평가 근거를 밝혔다. 다음으로 언어발달 검사도구의 분석을 통해 검사도구로서 갖추어야 할 신뢰성 과 관련한 네 가지 문제와 검사 문항 자체의 질적 수준과 관련한 두 가지 문제가 있음을 밝혔다. 마지막으로 언어발달 검사 도구의 신뢰성을 높이기 위한 두 가지 개선 방안으로 한국어 발달의 준거를 마련하는 것과 (한)국어교육과 언어병리학간의 학제간 협업을 통 해 적절한 언어 발달 검사 도구를 개발해야 함을 주장하였다.
The purpose of this paper is to present problems and improvement measures for the current language development inspection tools used for multicultural background learners for effective Korean language education. As the number of multicultural background learners entering schools increases, the need for language development testing tools to accurately diagnose their language levels is increasing. Although inspection tools are needed to accurately diagnose the language skills of multicultural learners, current inspection tools are not satisfactory in some issues. To present the method of being an accurate and reliable inspection tool, the present condition of the language development inspection tool currently used was analyzed first, revealing the inspection method and evaluation basis of the inspection tool. Through the analysis of language development inspection tools, the following revealed that there are four problems related to the reliability of the inspection tools and two problems related to the quality level of the inspection questions themselves. Finally, two improvement measures were put forward to enhance the reliability of language development inspection tools.
