한반도(조선반도)에서 진행되는 평화체제에 부응하기 위하여 남북한의 고전문학사(한문학 포함) 연구자들의 인식과 자세의 전환이 필요하다. 이를 위해 남북한 연구자들은 ‘겨레 (고전) 문학사’의 공동연구를 위하여 정기적으로 상호 만나 공감대를 형성하는 데 적극적으로 나서야 한다. 또한 ‘겨레 (고전) 문학사’의 像을 정립하기 위해 남북한의 연구자들은 남북을 아우르는 시각과 함께 한반도(조선반도)를 횡단하는 동아시아적 시각과 세계사적 맥락에 접할 수 있는 인식이 필요하다. 이를 기반으로 남북한의 고전문학연구자가 상호 소통하며 겨레의 고전문학을 통섭하는 인식으로 공동연구를 진행해야 한다. 특히 ‘겨레 (고전) 문학사’의 공동연구와 공동 서술을 위해서는 단계론적 접근이 필요하다. 이를테면 한반도에서 서술된 문학사의 성과를 있는 그대로 인식하는 단계, 작가나 작품을 공동 연구하는 단계, 그리고 문학사를 함께 공유하고 집필하는 단계로 나누어 실현하는 것이 좋을 것이다. 이를 위해 정기적인 인적 교류가 필수적인데, ‘겨레(고전) 문학사’ 연구자 대회나 ‘겨레(고전) 문학사’ 연구자 협의회를 결성하여 지속적인 만남을 추구하는 것이 바람직하다.
The purpose of this paper is to raise a question in order to meet the peace regime on the Korean Peninsula, researchers of Classical Literature, including Literary Sinitic, in the two Korean states, need to change their perception and attitude. The South and North researchers should have a regular meeting in order to form a consensus for joint research on the history of Korean Classical Literature-that I coined the “Literature History of Kyŏre(or Kojŏn)” in this article. In order to set a picture of the history of Korean Classical Literature, the South and North researchers need to have a comprehensive view of the South-North as well as an awareness of the East Asian perspective of crossing the Korean Peninsula (N.K. the Chosŏn Peninsular), and the world’s historical context. Based on this, the two Korean states should conduct a joint research with the understanding that scholars in the Korean literature communicate with each other and integrate the history of their classical literature. In particular, a step-by-step approach is needed to collaborate and jointly describe the Literature History of Kyŏre(or Kojŏn). For example, it would be better to realize the achievements of the history of literature described on the Korean Peninsula by dividing them into the level of recognition of their achievements, the level of joint study on writers and works, and the level of sharing and writing their literature history together. To this end, regular human exchanges are essential: It is desirable to form an intellectual conference or a research association for the “Literature History of Kyŏre(or Kojŏn)” to pursue a continuous meeting.
