The purpose of this study is to compare the viewpoints of Antoine Berman and Gideon Toury on the concept of the literary translator’s freedom in order to reestablish his/her identity in the era of the artificial intelligence and the collective intelligence. As a result of my comparative investigation, I would like to introduce the concept of the translative license for empowering the language-culture of the target society by granting the literary translator the right to violate its translation norms. This will be a good solution for the literary translator to be recognized for his/her creativity without fearing the negative sanctions from the part of his/her own community.
