본 연구는 시야결손 환자의 질병 경험에 대한 의미와 본질적 구조를 이해하기 위해 시도된 질적연구이다. 본 연구는 서울에 거주 중인 시야결손 녹내장 환자 11명을 대상으로 2018년 9월부터 2019년 2월까지 면담과 관찰법을 사용하여 자료수집 하였다. 수집된 자료는 현상학적 방법 중 Colaizzi가 제시한 방법으로 분석하고 기술하였다. 연구결과 녹내장 환자는 감당하기 어려운 질병의 특성으로 기약 없는 치료과정을 경험하였다. 또한, 불안과 인간관계의 갈등으로 심리적 고통을 겪고 있었으나 긍정적 대처를 통해 성숙한 삶에 도전하였다. 본 연구를 통해 녹내장 환자의 인식개선과 질병에 대한 교육프로그램 마련이 필요하다.
This research was conducted to understand and describe the world of glaucoma patients real experience by phenomenological method. This study was carried out by using interviews and observations from Sep 2018 to Feb 2019 to 11 participants who are live at seoul department of glaucoma patients. Analysis of data was performed using method presented by Colaizzi. The results of the study showed that patients with glaucoma had difficulty in the treatment process due to the nature of the disease. also, he has suffered psychological distress due to anxiety and conflict in human relations, and has been challenging for a mature life through positive responses. Through this study, it is necessary to develop awareness improvement for patients with glaucoma and prepare education programs for diseases.
