This study aimed to explore the use of online homework for the effective management of a blended English listening class. Participants were 67 Korean students from 2 English listening classes, which were managed in both online and offline modes with homework assigned for each online class session. At the end of each homework, the students were asked to freely leave any comments and questions, which was followed by the instructor’s feedback in the subsequent offline class. The results showed that the students perceived the homework as convenient and useful, and effective in increasing students’learning motivation and establishing a rapport between the instructor and students. The students’answers include positive and negative aspects of the homework and suggestions for effective management of offline classes. The result also indicated that the majority of the students prefer blended learning over either online or offline-only classes. These findings provide some pedagogical implications concerning the use of blended-learning classroom management along with limitations and a suggestion for further study.
