본 연구는 중국인 유학생의 한국 유학 결정요인, 특히 한국의 유인요인을 중심으로 유학 결정요인을 탐색하고자하였으며, 이를 통하여 향후 한국의 중국인 유학생 유치 정책에 의미 있는 시사점을 제공하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여중국인 유학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 유학생 특성별로 집단 간 차이분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과에따르면, 지리적 접근성, 대학 홍보, 국가 인지도 등이 한국 유학을 결정하게 되는 중국인 유학생들이 가장 중요하게인식하고 있는 유인요인으로 나타났다. 또한, 한국 유학 유인요인에 대한 중국인 유학생들의 특성에 따른 집단별차이 분석결과에서 성별, 재학 과정별, 전공계열별, 한국어 수준별, 유학정보 획득경로별로 모두 차이를 보였는데, 이중에서 전공계열과 유학정보 획득경로의 분류에 따른 집단별 차이가 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는외국인 유학생 유치정책에 있어서 유학생들의 차별화된 수요에 부합하는 정책을 실시해야 함을 시사하고 있다.
The purposes of this paper were to find out the pull factors influencing Chinese students to study in Korea, to provide practical implications for Korea to improve the recruitment and management of Chinese students, and to promote educational cooperation between Korea and China. The data for this study were collected by survey from two-hundred Chinese students in Korean higher education institutions. According to the results of study, the most important factors affecting Chinese students' decisions to study in Korea were ‘geographical accessibility’, ‘university publicity’, and ‘national awareness’. In addition, the results of the group difference analysis revealed that all groups showed differences, and that the group difference of major and information obtaining channel was the most significant. The results suggested that researchers should concentrate on exploring policies to meet the differentiated needs of international students.
