본 연구의 목적은 생태그림책을 활용한 극놀이가 유아의 생명존중인식 및 배려행동에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는 것이다. 연구대상은 G시에 소재한 E유치원의 만 5세 유아 40명이다. 실험처치는 실험집단은 생태그림책을 활용한 극놀이 활동을, 비교집단은 생태그림책을 읽고 이야기나누기를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 생태그림책을 활용한 극놀이는 유아의 생명존중인식에 긍정적인 영향이 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 둘째, 생태그림책을 활용한 극놀이는 유아의 배려행동 증진에 긍정적인 영향이 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 결론적으로 본 연구는 유아의 생명존중인식 및 배려행동을 기르기 위한 교육적 접근으로 생태그림책을 활용한 극놀이 효과를 검증하였다. 이를 통해 생태그림책이 갖는 교육적인 가치와 더불어 유아교육현장에서의 극놀이 활동의 효율적 적용에 대한 기초자료로서의 활용성을 시사한다.
The purpose of this study was to examine impact of dramatic play activities using ecological picture books on young children’s respect for life and caring behaviors. The subjects of the study were 40 of age 5 from E kindergarten in G city. The experimental group carried out the dramatic play activities using ecological picture books. The results were as follows: First, experimental group showed has a positive effect on infants' respect for life. Second, the dramatic play using ecological picture books had a positive effect on improving care behavior of young children. In conclusion, this study verified the effect of dramatic play using ecological picture book as an educational approach to cultivating children's respectful life and caring behavior. This study suggests the educational value of ecological picture books and their usefulness of their application to field of early childhood education.
