본 연구의 목적은 부모화 경험과 신체화의 관계를 살펴보고, 이 관계가 정서인식명확성과 정서표현양가성에 의해 순차적으로 매개되는지를 확인하는 데 있었다. 이를 위해 대학생 300명을 대상으로 인터넷 설문조사를 실시하였다. 이중매개 모형을 검증하기 위해 SPSS와 PROCESS Macro를 사용하였고 부트스트래핑(bootstrapping) 방법을 활용하여 간접효과의 유의성을 검증하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모화와 정서표현양가성은 신체화와 유의한 정적 상관을 보였고, 정서인식명확성과 신체화는 유의한 부적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 중다회귀분석 결과 부모화는 정서표현양가성과 신체화에 정적인 영향을 미쳤고, 정서인식명확성에는 부적인 영향을 미쳤다. 정서인식명확성은 정서표현양가성과 신체화에 부적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 정서표현양가성은 신체화에 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 부모화와 신체화 간의 관계에서 정서인식명확성과 정서표현양가성의 순차적 매개효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 주요 시사점과 제한점, 후속 연구를 위한 제언에 대해 논의하였다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between parentification and somatization and to test the sequential mediating effects of emotional clarity and ambivalence over emotional expression in this relationship. For this study, the online survery was conducted for 300 university students. Data were analyzed using SPSS and PROCESS Macro to test the sequential mediating effects and the bootstrapping method was used to examine the significance of the indirect effects. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, both parentification and ambivalence over emotional expression showed a significant positive correlation with somatization. Emotional clarity was significantly negatively correlated with somatization. Second, regression analysis revealed that parentification had positive effects on ambivalence over emotional expression and somatization, and had negative effects on emotional clarity. Emotional clarity had negative effects on ambivalence over emotional expression and somatization. In addition, ambivalence over emotional expression had a statistically significant positive effect on somatization. Third, the sequential mediation effects of emotional clarity and ambivalence over emotional expression in the relationship between parentification and somatization were found to be significant . Based on these results, implications and suggestions for future studies coupled with limitations of this study were discussed.
