The purpose of this study was to suggest a plan for systematic support to foreign students for their successful life of studying abroad by doing an empirical analysis of the relationship among their learning motivation, Korean proficiency, and academic achievement To this end, this study conducted a survey targeting the foreign students residing in four districts from Oct. 10 to Nov. 15, 2018, and implemented a multiple regression analysis using 489 copies of questionnaires out of 500 copies in total as analysis data. As a result of this study, first, learning motivation was found to have a partially positive (+), and negative(-) influence on Korean proficiency; second, learning motivation was found to have a partially positive(+), and negative(-) influence on academic achievement, and third, Korean proficiency was found to have a partially positive (+) influence on academic achievement.
