연구목적: 연구목적은 국내 주요 대학 고른기회전형의 탐색을 통해 고등교육을 받을 균등한 기회 제공이라는 목적적 측면과 지원자의 대입 준비 혼란 방지라는 절차적 측면을 모두 충족시킬 수 있는 고른기회전형의 전형운영과 전형방법 개선 방안을 탐색하고자 하였다. 연구방법: 연구의 효율성, 타당성, 신뢰성, 균형성을 확보하기 위해 대학 소재 지역을 수도권 대학과 지역거점 국립대학으로 나누어 선정된 18개 대학의 수시모집 전형자료를 탐색 및 분석하는 문헌조사연구와 고른기회전형의 전형방법에 대한 타당성 있는 개선 방안을 도출하기 위해 FGI를 실시하였다. 연구결과: 대학마다 동일한 지원자격을 대상을 모집하는 고른기회전형이라도 전형명칭이 상이하고, 또한 동일한 전형명칭이라도 포함하고 있는 지원자격과 전형방법 등에 차이가 있어 학교 현장에서 진학지도나 수험생들의 대입준비 혼란과 어려움이 있을 수밖에 없었다. 논의: 분석결과를 바탕으로 심층집단면담을 통해 고른기회전형에서 전형운영, 전형방법, 지원자격 기준에 대한 개선 방안에 대해 논의하였다.
Purpose: The purpose of the study was to present the method to operate Equal Opportunity Admission not only to provide equal opportunities for higher education, but also to alleviate the students’ burden of preparing for entrance examination. Method: Literature research was conducted on Early Admission of the 18 selected universities including national universities and those in the metropolitan area. FGI was also implemented to deduce improvement for the applicant eligibility and selection method of the Equal Opportunity Admission. Results: The admission names of the Equal Opportunity Admission vary across universities even though they recruit candidates with similar qualifications. Even if The Equal Opportunity Admission have the same name, the qualifications and the selection methods are different from one another, which confuses both the teachers and students preparing for the admission. Conclusion: In the analysis results, we discussed the improvement of the admission names, selection methods, and qualification criteria of the Equal Opportunity Admission.
