This study aims to investigate how Korean learners of English and native English speakers judge the telicity of English resultative constructions. Ninety one Korean students and eleven native speakers of English participated in this study. Evaluation of telicity using both English and Korean was implemented to both native speakers (only English) and Korean learners who were classified into two groups according to their English proficiency. The results of this study showed that judgement of the target resultative constructions among Korean learners who are in beginner group was significantly different from that of the native speakers. Especially, in contrast to both control and advanced group, the beginner group perceived all different types of resultative constructions (ordinary resultative constructions, resultative constructions with a non-end bounded prepositional phrase, resultative constructions with comparatives and pseudo-resultative constructions) as non-end bounded (atelic). In addition, the result indeed showed how native English speakers judge the telicity of English resultative constructions. Pedagogical implications and directions of further studies were presented.
