Purpose – The purpose of this study is to recognize the limitations of traditional hard power and to understand the importance of soft power to attract voluntary acceptance from other countries. The Korean Wave, representing the soft power of Korea, started in the late 1990s and is now expanding its influence worldwide. Design, data, and methodology –One of the factors that helped to gain the sympathy of young people from across the world was the use of digital media. Using a variety of internet media such as YouTube and SNS, the strategy quickly informed the world of Korean Wave stars and helped build a positive image for Korea. This soft power, which Korea has, can increase national strength and competitiveness in exchanging culture with many countries. Result –Korean Wave cultural contents are not limited to music genres such as BTS, but are composed of various fields such as drama, popular songs, and movies. BTS is proposing the potential of Korea's soft power by becoming popular in the US market which is a world soft power in music genre. The BTS, which is enthusiastic not only in the United States but also in the whole world, is leading Korean Wave cultural contents and expanding economic effect and national competitiveness in Korea. Conclusions –Before knowing the music of BTS, many young people from all over the world who did not know about Korea understand music through Korea, learn Korean language and enjoy Korean food through foreign countries. This means that the Korean Wave cultural contents, which is represented by the Bulletproof Boy Scouts, is not limited to simply sharing music with sympathy, but means creating an opportunity to come across Korea's overall culture. And the positive image of Korea can be said to secure the potential to increase the soft power of Korea.
