이 논문은 일제강점기 경기도 개성 덕물산의 무가 현지 연구를 근간으로 그 경과와 의의를 밝힌 것이다. 연구를 온당하게 하려면 학문적 방법의 근거와 체계를 보아야 한다. 경성제국대학은 우리 학문의 중요한 준거를 제공하였으며, 놀랍게도 개성 덕물산의 무가를 조사한 것이 사실로 판명되었다. 이들이 연구한 대상이 만신의 조종이라고 여기는 개성 덕물산이므로 더욱 중시된다. 무가를 조사하고 이를 훈련시켜서 현지조사를 충족하게 하는 것은 소중한 의의가 있다. 이 논문에서 더욱 진전시켜서 경성제국대학의 학풍을 점검하였다. 그 결과 경성제국대학의 학풍이 전통적인 경학을 승계하고 동시에 현지조사를 하도록 한 점에서 주목할 만한 평가가 이루어질 전망이다. 이 방법은 이능화의 학문과도 다르고, 동시에 손진태의 학문과도 다른 점이 적지 않았다. 기획을 하고 관학파적 방식으로 진행한 점도 주목할 만한 변화라고 할 수 있다. 이 연구를 통해서 우리는 조선무속의 연구 관점이 집중된 일정한 학문적 쟁점을 검토할 수가 있었으며, 동시에 우리 무속을 연구하는 여러 가지 관점이 상이한 흐름 속에 놓였음을 알 수가 있다. 그런 관점에서 일제강점기의 학문은 후대 학문의 뿌리가 되었다고 해도 과언이 아니다. 그 점을 인정하면서 경성제국대학 학풍의 선점을 끈덕지게 연구해야 하는 점을 자각한다.
This paper is to clarify the progress and significance of Muga in Gaeseong Deokmulsan, Gyeonggi-do during the Japanese colonial period based on the local studies. Kenjyo Imperial University provided an important reference to our study, and surprisingly it proved to be true that it investigated the value of Mt. Deokmulsan in Gaeseong. It is important to investigate the value of Muga and train them to meet the field survey, which is important because it is a Kaesong Deokmulsan that they consider to be the control of the whole body. This study further examined the school style of the Kenjyo Imperial University. As a result, it is expected that a remarkable evaluation will be made in that the school of the Kenjyo Imperial University inherited traditional school and conducted field surveys at the same time. This method is different from the study of sensualization and at the same time, it is notable that the study was conducted in a planned and kanhak style(官學派). Through this study, we can examine a certain academic issue that focuses on the research perspective of Joseon shamanism, and at the same time, we can see that various perspectives on studying our shamanism are placed in a different flow. In this respect, it is no exaggeration to say that the study of the Japanese colonial period became the root of future studies, and it is important to recognize that the preemption of the Kenjyo Imperial University should be studied steadily.
