Under the circumstances in which the organizational environment is rapidly changing, there is increased interest on empowering leadership and job crafting in order for the constituent members of organizations to more assertively and actively cope with such changes. Empowering leadership is effective in awakening the potentials of and motivating the constituent members in order to deduce a diverse range of success factors. In this study, empowering leadership and job crafting were reviewed for successful and efficient operation of corporations. In addition, this study tverified the relationships through empirical analysis of job engagement and innovative behavior. Questionnaire survey was conducted on the employees of restaurant industry and structure equation model analysis was executed to verify the relationship among the variables. As the results of analysis, empowering leadership was found to impart affirmative effect on job crafting, as well as on job engagement and innovative behavior. Job crafting was also found positive effect on job engagement and innovative behavior. On the basis of aforementioned results, implications for effective operation and management of restaurant companies are presented.
