본 연구는 중학생을 대상으로 부모 애착이 스마트폰 중독에 미치는 영향을 알아보고 자기통제력이 부모애착과 스마트폰 중독의 관계에서 조절효과를 가지는지 검증하기 위해서 실시되었다. 연구의 예측변인으로 부모애착을 설정하였고, 매개변인으로 자기통제력을 설정하였다. 측정도구로는 스마트폰 중독 척도, 부모애착 척도(IPPA-R), 자기통제력 척도(Self-Control Rating scale)를 사용하였다. 설문대상은 서울 소재 중학교 402명을 대상으로 하였으며, 회수되지 않거나 불충분한 응답 자료를 제외한 총 254명의 자료가 분석에 사용되었다. 데이터의 통계분석을 위하여 PASW statistics 21.0을 사용하여 기초 통계를 실시하였고, 부모애착, 스마트폰중독 간의 관계에서 자기통제력이 조절효과를 가지는지 검증하기 위해 위계적 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 부 애착이 스마트폰 중독 수준에 미치는 영향에서 자기통제력이 조절효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났으나 모 애착은 자기통제력의 영향을 받지 않고 스마트폰 중독 수준에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.


The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of parental attachment to a middle school student's smartphone addiction, and to verify that self-control has a moderating effect in the relationship between parental attachment and smartphone addiction. Parental attachment was established as a predictor variable, and self-control was set as a mediator variable. As a measurement tool, we used scale of Smartphone Addiction, IPPA-R, and Self-Control Rating Scale. A total of 254 middle school students in Seoul were included in the analysis, except for those who did not respond or responded inappropriately. Basic statistics was conducted for statistical analysis of data with PASW statistics 21.0, and thus a hierarchical analysis was conducted to verify that the self-control had the moderating effect on the relation between parental attachment and smartphone addiction. The analysis showed that self-control had a moderating effect on the level of smartphone addiction with father’s attachment, but that mother's attachment had an effect on the level of smartphone addiction without being affected by self-control. In other words, strong parental attachment and self-control had the effect of preventing teenagers from getting addicted to smartphone, especially the building of a close and stable attachment with a mother was strong factor to protect youth from smartphone addiction. Also, it suggested that self-control played an important role for which father’s attachment had effect to prevent smartphone addiction.
