이 논문은 김종삼 시의 발표 형식에 주목했다. 김종삼은 지면이나개인시집, 선시집, 연대시집 등의 매체를 통해 시를 발표했다. 흥미로운 점은 그가 최초로 발표했던 작품을 원문 그대로 재수록하거나 크고 작은 수정을 가해 개작하고 그 작품을 재발표 또는 재수록했다는사실이다. 김종삼은 30여 년 동안 총 240편의 시를 남겼는데, 그 중에서 김종삼이 재수록한 작품의 수는 139편이었다. 이점에 착안해 이논문은 왜 김종삼이 기존에 발표한 시들을 수정해 재수록했고, 그 결과물을 통해 무엇을 의도하였는지를 살펴보고자 했다. 먼저, 김종삼이 재수록한 시들을 구분하고 시의 재수록 횟수나 재수록 과정에서 생긴 시의 변화 양상을 분류했다. 그 결과 시의 형태(식)에 변형이 이루어진 경우의 시들, 처음 발표된 작품 원문을 거의그대로 재수록한 경우의 시들, 재수록 과정에서 처음 발표한 작품을두 번째 수록할 때 고치고 난 후 더 이상 손을 대지 않은 채 재수록한 경우의 시들, 마지막으로 동일한 제목으로 다른 시를 창작해 발표하고 재수록한 경우의 시들을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 가장 특이하다고 할 수 있는 마지막 경우의 시 중에서 「制作」과 「掌篇」의 시적변화 양상을 분석했다. 「制作」의 시를 분석하면서 김종삼이 시어나 이미지를 제련(製鍊)하는 방식을 시작 초기부터 후기까지 변하지 않 고 중시했음을 알 수 있었다. 동시에 그는 「掌篇」이란 산문적 경향의 시를 통해 타자에 대한 이야기를 삽입하고 시인으로서의 사회적 역할과 시의 윤리 문제를 사유했음을 규명했다.
This paper focuses on the publications of the poet Kim Jong-sam. Kim Jong-sam used to publish the same poem through other media. In some cases, his works have been released without any modifications. However, Kim Jong-sam has mostly made amendments to his poems. Therefore, this paper summarizes the list of poems that Kim Jong-sam has remade and tries to analyze the modality of the changes in the remade works closely through the rewriting process. As the results, four features are found in this study First, the form of poetry was transformed. Second, some of the poems were republished almost as it had been. Third, at the time of rewriting, some of the poems were republished without any changes since it had been revised once. Finally, there were poems that were published with the same titles that had been used in his previous works. In Chapter 3, I analyze “JEJAK” and “JANGPEON” in the last case. The results are as follows: Kim Jong-sam put so much value in the refining process of poetry and images while writing poetry. Besides, he wrote prose poems to tell the stories of others. Through these poems, he was concerned about the social role of poets and the ethics of Poetry.
