The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of the SW-STEAM program using unplugged computing for elementary science class. For this we developed the SW-STEAM program using unplugged computing about the unit of the structure and function of our body on the2009 revised curriculum in elementary science 5th grade. The participants of this study were 5th grade students of S elementary school located in B city, and they were engaged in different instruction during 12 class hours (SW-STEAMprogram: n=22, traditional instruction: n=22). The main results of this study were as follows: The SW-STEAMprogram had a positive effect on elementary school students’self-efficacy, scientific interest, science achievement. Therefore, the SW-STEAM program using unplugged computing for elementary science education could be meaningful works to encourage students’ self-efficacy, scientific interest, science achievement, and more studies on developing SW-STEAM program are needed.
