풍수지리 입지연구에 있어서 지형분석도구는 자연을 분석하고 평가하는데 중요한 역할을 하고 있으며, 어떤도구를 사용하느냐에 따라 다른 분석 결과를 도출해내기도 한다. 과학 기술의 발전과 함께 과거 고지도를 이용하던재래식분석기법에서 벗어나 현대식 지형도와 항공사진⋅위성사진 등을 손쉽게 이용할 수 있게 됨으로써 풍수지리의입지분석도 비약적인 발전을 하게 되었다. 과거로부터 현재까지 주요 입지분석 도구로 사용되는 고지도, 산도(山圖), 일반사진, 항공사진⋅위성사진 및 드론사진 등의 도구 변천을 고찰해 보고 아울러 과거의 입지분석도구로 평가된 건원릉의 사례를 현대식 위성사진 등을 이용하여 재평가하여 그 결과를 비교해 봄으로써 풍수지리 입지연구에 있어 분석도구의 중요성을 확인해 보았다. 이러한 고찰을 통하여 입지 분석연구에 적절한 도구를 적용함으로써 풍수지리적입지연구가 더욱 발전할 것으로 기대한다.
Mankind has studied geography to find good site since ancient time. Landform analysis tool plays a vital role in analyzing and evaluating nature to study feng-shui location. Perverted result may be made depending on which tool is used. Thanks to the development of science, modern topographical map, air photo and satellite photo can be easily used in contemporary times, getting out of conventional analytic technique which used the old map. As a result, geography study has developed notably. This study confirmed the significance of analytic tool in geography study by investigating tools such as old map, mountain map, common photo, air photo, satellite photo which have been used as tool of main geography study from past to present as well as by re-evaluating the case of Geonwolleung(건원릉) which was evaluated in the past by using modern satellite photo and comparing the result. It is expected that feng-shui location study would be further developed by applying analytic technique which used tool proper to geography study through this investigation.
