본 연구는 혼합연령으로 구성된 사회관계 증진 활동이 만 5세 유아의 리더십 향상에 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 한 것이다. 연구의 대상은 경상남도에 소재하고 있는 두 곳의 어린이집에 다니는 만 5세 유아 40명으로 비등질화 비교집단설계를 사용하였다. 유아 리더십 검사도구를 통해 수집된 자료는 실험집단과 통제집단에서의 리더십에 대한 사전·사후검사 점수를 반복측정변인으로 설정하여 변량분석을 실시하였다. 연구의 결과는 혼합연령의 사회관계 증진 활동이 유아의 리더십과 그 하위요인인 도전과 자신감, 타인존중, 자기행동관리, 문제해결력을 증진시키는데 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다.
This study aimed to examine the effects of social relationship enhancement activities in a mixed age group on the leadership abilities of 5-year-old children. Forty 5-year-old children at two childcare centers in Gyeogsangnam-do participated in the study, and the data collected from these children were analyzed using a repeated measures ANOVA. The dependent variables for both the experimental group and control group were pre-test and post-test leadership scores. The study results showed that social relationship enhancement activities in a mixed-age group were effective in improving leadership as well as sub-factors of leadership including challenges with self-confidence, respect for others, self-control, and problem-solving skills.
