The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors influencing the tourism expenditure of tourists from five countries in Southeast Asia based on the survey of the actual situation of foreign tourists in 2017. For this, logistic regression analysis was performed through R program. According to an analysis of data from five Southeast Asian countries (Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam) and the 2017 international visitor survey, the period of stay in Korea and the type of travel common in five countries have an impact on the average amount of expenditure per day. Various events and promotions are needed for tourists with short stays in Korea, moreover; Thailand and Vietnam, which have a large number of group tourists, need to build various package products to encourage more consumption. It also needs a cultural understanding and an in-depth analysis of Malaysian tourists with the most eight influences. After considering the meaning of the analysis results, practical implications and limitations of this study, future research directions were presented.
