Although the importance of sleep in terms of quality of life and health is well known, many inmates suffer from sleep difficulties in Seoul juvenile training school. So this cross-sectional study was conducted to investigate the prevalance and severity of insomnia. Considering the age and educational level of the subjects, relatively simple questionnaire proposed by the Korean Sleep Research Society was conducted to 191 detainees in November 19, 2018. With the results this research tried to suggest the alternative to the situation of Seoul juvenile training school in terms of sleep hygiene and environmental improvement which are the most important treatment for sleep disorder.
