본 연구는 다양한 의미로 사용되고 있는 내러티브의 개념을 정립하고 내러티브에 기반한 문학 교수-학습 모형을 개발하는 데 목적을 둔다. 국어와 문학교육에서 내러티브는 서사, 소설 등의 협의로 인식되고 있어 내러티브에 대한 교육적 의미를 활용하고 있지 못하다. 따라서 본고에서는 내러티브를 수업의 내용, 방법, 목표, 체제로 구성하여 이를 기반으로 한 문학 교수-학습 모형을 개발하고자 하였다. 내러티브는 다양한 영역에서 다양한 의미 범주를 가지고 있으나 이와 유의어로 사용되고 있는 서사, 소설, 스토리텔링 등은 내러티브의 의미 범주 중 한 가지에 국한되어 사용되는 경우가 많다. 즉, 이들 용어는 내러티브와 동의어가 아니라 하의어라고 할 수 있다. 이에 본고에서는 내러티브의 실체로서, 방법으로서, 사고양식으로서의 측면을 지칭하기 위해 ‘작품의 이야기’, ‘이야기 나누기’, ‘이야기 생성하기’로 내러티브를 세분화하였다. 내러티브에 기반한다는 것은 수업 내용인 문학 작품을 삶에 대한 이야기로서 인식하고, 수업의 방법으로 교사와 학습자가 작품 감상과 관련하여 자신의 생각, 삶을 이야기하고, 자신의 이야기를 재구성, 생성해 나가는 목표를 가지고 수업을 진행한다는 의미이다. 또한 이러한 요소들이 유기적으로 결합하여 수업 자체가 또 다른 이야기가 된다는 점에서 체제로서의 내러티브도 요구된다. 내러티브 기반 교수-학습 모형은 위의 용어와 이론에 근거하여 [이야기의 활성화]-[이야기로의 독해]-[이야기의 공유]-[이야기와 관계 형성]-[자아 이야기 생성 및 상호 텍스트성]의 단계로 이루어진다.
The purpose of this study is module development for instruction based on narrative which used with diverse meaning in the academic society. Narrative was conceived as description, novel in the instructional situation for korean language and literature education with narrow means, for that reason it's impossible to use educational meaning about narrative. By this problem, this article intends to develop narrative based instruction which was constructed by content, method, objective, system. Although narrative have multi meaning in diverse discipline, description, novel, story telling which was employed as a synonym of narrative are used by one aspect among category of meaning for narrative. Namely, they are not synonym but low rank. In this article, for referring to dimension as realty, method, thinking mode, researcher subdivided narrative to story of work, story sharing, making a story. In this research, the term of narrative-based means three fact as followings. Firstly, all student conceives literal work as story of personal life. Secondly, student and teacher speak not only one's thought interpersonally, but also life concerning appreciation on literal work. Thirdly, student who participate in classroom will make own's life by construction and reconstruction. In short, the term of narrative based means that all instruction will progress with above three fact. Also, all instruction in itself becomes a another story that combined with these component. This situation which occurred in the classroom means narrative as system. Module of narrative based instruction is consisted by following sequence, that is to say, ① vitalization of story, ② reading as story, ③ sharing a story interpersonally, ④ relation formation with story, ⑤ making self story and intertextuality between story and life/experience.
