This study examined behavioral intention to search career related information and opportunities among college students majoring airline service, adopted the expanded theory of planned behavior model, incorporating attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control toward career search with motivational factors. The motivation factors were comprised with two sub-dimensions; career insight and career identity. Data were collected via self-administered survey in 6 junior colleges in Seoul Metropolitan areas. The results showed the usefulness, highlighting the effects of motivation on decision-making process. All exogenous variables were turned out to be positively significant in explaining the career search intention, except for the career identity having a reverse relationship with career search. The results will make a meaningful contribution to the development of career guidelines, counseling programs, and expansion of our understanding about what and how we can boost students’ participation in career search programs.
