“Poverty” of the Popular Narrative and the Ethics of Others in the 1960s. ―Focusing on the Radio Drama, “This Man!”―

이 글은 1960년대 대중서사에 나타난 ‘가난’과 가난으로부터 발현된 감정을 살피는 데 목적을 둔다. 1960년대 대중서사는 제도권 안에서 주목하지 않았던 빈민의 ‘가난’에 주목한다. 동아방송의 <이 사람을!>이 그 대표적 사례이다. 1963년 동아방송 개국과 함께 방송된 <이 사람을!>은 일반인의 사연을 토대로 만든 라디오 드라마다. 이 프로그램은 ‘자선극’이라는 타이틀을 내세우며 모금활동을 도모했고, 청취자들은 성금과 구호물품을 보내며 사연자의 자립을 도왔다. 대중의 연민과 동정의 감정을 정점에 올려놓은 것은 1964년 이윤복의 일기다. 대중들은 이윤복의 행복을 기원하며 그의 행보에 주목했다. 국가는 이윤복이 보여준 가족 부양에 대한 책임과 성실한 태도에 긍정적인 평가를 내린다. 국가의 처분에 따라 이윤복은 ‘부랑아’에서 ‘모범청소년’으로 호명된다. 역설적 상황이 허용되었던 것은 당대 대중들의 감정을 의식한 처사였다.

The purpose of this abstract is to observe the emotional and psychological state of mind of “consumer” expressions from of “poverty” in popular narratives in the 1960s. Throughout the course of history, the public narrative did not offer a great example of “poverty,” until the a radio drama based on a true story called, “This Man!” from was broadcast by the Dong-A Broadcasting System(hereafter DBS). This radio drama, based on a true story, exemplified the poverty of the poor. With the establishment of DBS in 1963, the station opening of the DBS, produced, “This Man!” and promoted fundraising activities with using the title, “Charity Pole,” and Listeners joined the charity pole to send gifts and relief items to help the storytellers. The Listeners from the concentration camps showed beneficence to express their embracement to of one another. One of the most well-known narratives, called, “Sorrow Even Up in Heaven,” by Lee, Yoon-bok Lee, sets expresses the ethical feelings of the inmates at the their peak. The public paid close attention to Lee’s actions in hopes the hope of finding happiness. In response to Lee’s actions, the nation shows exhibited positive feedback on regarding Lee’s responsible and sincere attitude toward family support. Because of According to the nation’s disposition, in toward Lee, who was known as the “Urchin” of the nation, Lee has been re-announced declared to be as a “Model Youth” of by the nation. This paradoxical situation was allowed due to the emotional and psychological state of mind of the public during the ‘60s.
