본 연구는 다문화가족지원센터의 운영진을 대상으로 결혼이민자를 위한 한국어 교육 프로그램 구성에 대한 요구를살펴보는 데 목적이 있다. 다문화가족지원센터는 2008년 다문화가족지원법의 제정과 함께 지금까지 결혼이민자 대상의주요 한국어 교육기관으로서 ‘결혼이민자의 한국어 및 한국 생활 적응’을 지원해 왔다. 그러나 기존의 한국어 프로그램으로는 변화된 결혼이민자의 요구를 충족시킬 수 없다. 이제 다문화가족지원센터는 결혼이민자들의 다양한 요구를 반영한여러 교육 프로그램에 대해 고민을 할 때이다. 다문화가족지원센터의 운영진은 교육 프로그램을 계획하고 운영하는주체이기도 하다. 한편으로는 결혼이민자들의 가장 근접한 거리에서 그들의 요구를 파악하고 있는 대변인이기도하다. 따라서 이들의 요구는 운영 주체로서의 요구이기도 하지만 결혼이민자의 요구를 방증하는 것이기도 하다. 이러한 이유로 이들을 대상으로 하는 요구분석은 매우 현실성 있는 프로그램을 구성하는 데 직접적인 도움을 줄수 있을 것이다. 본 연구를 통하여 결혼이민자에게 필요한 교육 프로그램이 무엇인지에 대해 실질적이고 현실성있는, 학습자들에게 긴요한 의견을 제시할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. 이는 향후 결혼이민자 대상의 새로운 교육프로그램을 마련하는 데 중요한 참고 자료가 될 것이다.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the needs of coordinators of Korean language and culture education programs for marriage immigrants. The Multicultural Family Support Center is a major Korean educational institution which has been supporting marriage immigrants in their Korean language education and adaptation to life in Korea since establishment of the Multicultural Family Support Act in 2008. However, the existing Korean language programs are unable to meet the changed needs of marriage immigrants. The time has come to become more concerned about various educational programs that would reflect the diverse needs of marriage immigrants. The management at the Multicultural Family Support Center is responsible for planning and operating educational programs. It also acts as a representative of marriage immigrants who can grasp their needs from the closest distance. The demands of the management are not only its own demands as the operating entity but also serve as support for the demands of marriage immigrants. Therefore, the needs analysis on the coordinators will be of direct help in constructing a very realistic program. We hope that this study will be able to present a practical and realistic opinion on what education programs are necessary for marriage immigrants, and also to provide critical opinions for the learners. The study shall become an important reference material for preparing new educational programs for marriage immigrants.
