The research, first of all, confirms the assumption that economic performance, a sub factor of festival performance, has a significant positive impact on regional affinity, but disproves the hypothesis that social and cultural performance has a significant positive effect on regional attachment. Secondly, the research contradicts the assumption that economic performance, a sub factor of the festival performance, has a positive impact on the social and cultural performance of the festival performance. Thirdly, the study shows that local affinity would not necessarily have a positive impact on residents' participation. On this ground, it is strongly recommended that local festivals should supply more harmonious contents in local festivals through which local residents and tourists can actively interact. By doing so, these contents can create synergy effects for the festival and successfully reflect socio-cultural needs and agendas from the actual residents in order to increase their participation.
