본 논문은 플라톤이 제시한 바 있는 인식론 비유가운데 ‘동굴의 비유’를 주제로 하여 초등체육 표현 영역과 철학의 융합적 접근을 시도한 연구이다. 초등학생의 수준에 맞는 철학의 기초를 무용 수업과 융 합함으로써 보다 흥미로운 접근을 시도함으로써 학생으로 하여금 기초적인 인문적 사고의 학습기회를 갖도록 하려는 연구 목표를 갖는다. 이를 위한 교수․학습방법 탐색의 연구방법은 융합인재교육인 STEAM의 교수･학습 절차, 즉 상황제시(수업 주제나 과제를 제시하는 과정으로 수업에 몰입할 수 있는 상황을 설정하는 과정)-창의적 설계(제시된 상황의 문제 해결을 위한 아이디어를 고안하는 과정)-성공 의 경험(공을 경험하여 열정과 즐거움, 자긍심 등을 느끼고 체험하는 것)의 단계를 활용하였다. 이에 따 른 교수학습방법을 제안한 바, 1, 2학년의 통합교과서에서는‘그림자, 형상과 만나다’로 주제화 하여 자 신의 형상을 도화지에 그리거나 오리기, 그림자 따라 하기 등의 활동을 통해 형상을 대하는 초보적 단 계를 구현하였다. 3학년의 움직임표현에서는 ‘그림자, 실재를 생각하다’로 주제화 하여 빛의 방향, 위 치, 수에 따라 변화하는 그림자의 특성을 통해 실재를 고찰하는 단계를 구현하였다. 6학년 주제표현에 서는‘동굴 밖. 이데아를 꿈꾸다’로 주제화 하여 플라톤 ‘동굴의 비유’의 이데아에 대한 창작활동을 통해 보다 적극적인 사유 활동이 될 수 있도록 구현하였다. 본 연구는 무용과 인문의 학문적 융합을 기초로 한 학교교육을 위한 시도이며 교수학습방법 예시이다. 제시되는 자료를 통해 교사에게는 표현활동 수업 의 아이디어를, 학생에게는 인문적 사고와 태도를 함양할 수 있는 기회가 되기를 기대한다.
This study would make a convergence approach to the area of expression in Elementary School Physical Education and Philosophy with the theme of “Allegory of the Cave,” of the epistemological allegories presented by Plato. Attempting a more interesting approach by converging the basic of Philosophy appropriate for the level of elementary school students with Dance Class. As a research method for the exploration of a teaching-learning method STEAM- Presentation of a Situation (The process in which students can be immersed in the class with a process of presenting a topic or subject of a class) - Creative Design (The process of coming up with an idea for solving problems in the presented situation) - Experience of Success (The process of feeling and experiencing passion, pleasure and pride by experiencing a contribution) were utilized. A teaching-learning method was roposed accordingly, and as a result, the integrated textbook for the first and second grades implemented the elementary step in which one encounter shapes through activities of drawing or cutting out one’s own shape and following the shadow by setting the theme, “Shadow, Meet the Shape” The expression of movements in the third grade implemented a step in which one contemplates the real through the characteristic of the shadow that changes according to the direction of the light by setting the theme, “Shadow, Think about the Real” The expression of themes in the sixth grade implemented a more active thinking activity through activities for creating an idea in Plato’s “Allegory of the Cave” by setting the theme, “Outside the Cave, Dream an Idea.”
