본 연구는 문법 항목 중 선어말어미 ‘-겠-’의 의미를 규명하고 사용 양상에 대한 분석을 통해 외국인 한국어 학습자들의 ‘-겠-’의 사용 오류를 줄이고 정확하게 이해하고 사용할 수 있도록 도움을 주고자 한다. 본 연구는 국립국어원 한국어 학습자 말뭉치 나눔터에서 2015년~2017년에 구축한 한국어 학습자 말뭉치(2018년 10월 요청)중 10만 어절을 선정한 후 Editor plus를 사용하여 각 등급별로 ‘-겠-’이 포함된 표본을 추출하였다. 다음으로 등급별 ‘-겠-’의 의미 양상에 대한 판정을 통해 한국어 학습자들의 ‘-겠-’의 의미 유형별 사용 빈도 및 사용 양상을 구체적으로 분석하였다. 나아가 한국어 학습자 말뭉치 자료에서 나타난 ‘-겠-’의 의미 유형이 한국어교육 현장에서 어떻게 적용되고 있는지 살펴보았다. 말뭉치에 대한 분석 결과 초, 중급에서 ‘-겠-’의 의미 유형 사용에 있어 [추측]에 비해 [의지]라는 의미 유형이 더 많이 나타났으며 숙달도가 향상될수록 [의지]와 [완곡]을 제외한 다른 의미가 더울 빈번하게 사용된다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 특히 [예정], [근접] 의미 유형은 숙달도가 높을수록 주된 의미 유형으로 사용된다는 것을 발견할 수 있었다.
This study takes the Korean language learners as the study object to research the use aspect of ‘-겠-’. In order to understand and use ‘-겠-’ correctly, we need to define its meaning types and clarify the use aspect of ‘-겠-’. For this purpose, in October 2018, we requested the Korean learners’ Corpus which was made from 2015 to 2017 from Korean learners’ Corpus Search Engine. As the research data, 100,000 Korean words were selected randomly from the Korean learner corpus by three proficiency levels. Then according to grade, we used Editor plus to selecting the samples which contain ‘-겠-’. After that, we Organized the meanings of every grade in the excel table, and determined the type of ‘-겠-’. According to the evaluation results of each level by Korean learners， we can know the frequency of ‘-겠-’ by each level, and we can even know the specific use aspect. According to the meaning of the ‘-겠-’ which were based on Korean learners’ Corpus, we can also observe that how to teach the ‘-겠-’ in Korean language education. According to the data of Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced level, we need to find out the use frequency and use aspect of ‘-겠-’ by each kind of meaning types. Based on the results we can find that in Beginning and Intermediate level, the use of the meaning type of ‘-겠-’ is more often used to indicate [will] than [guess], and the meaning types of ‘-겠-’ were used more by the higher grades. Especially, the meaning type of [planned] and [proximity] is used as the main meaning type as the grade increases.
