The research is based on the recent high-profile new teaching model, “flipped learning”. The aim of the research is to practice teaching Korean speaking in China. For Chinese Korean learners, the most difficult part of Korean learning is the speaking component. Therefore, carrying out Korean speaking class based on flipped learning is very necessary. To this end, the study designed the flipped learning model and conducted the actual teaching. A total of 88 students are from 3 classes consisting of 2nd year students of a university in Weihai city, Shandong Province, and the period of three courses in each class was from March 5 to 23, 2018. After 3 weeks of teaching, a questionnaire was set up using a Likert scale and a professional platform named Wenjuanxing. A satisfaction survey was also conducted using WeChat through mobile phone. According to the findings, more than 70% of learners thought the courses very satisfying and interesting. They also believed this teaching approach can encourage the communication between teachers and learners and further communication between the students. Besides, they also gave a positive response to the unfamiliar “publishing activity”. Although these several courses cannot change the traditional teaching mode in China completely, the attitude and understanding of the future education will change constantly with the times in the rapidly growing China. As to Korean language teaching, it is also expected to make new attempts in other fields besides the interesting flipped leaning model.
