현재 한국에서는 바람직한 지역사회 정신건강증진 방안을 놓고 활발한 논의가 이루어지고 있다. 특히, 효과적인 정신건강치료 방법과 접근성 강화를 놓고 의견이 분분하다. 본 연구의 목적은 지역사회 정신건강증진 방법을 놓고 비슷한 문제를 겪었던 미국과 한국 사례를 비교함으로써, 우리나라 지역사회 정신건강서비스 체계의 문제점과 개선방안을 제안하는 데 있다. 구체적으로 미국과 한국의 치료방법, 서비스 전달체계 등을 각각 살펴보았고, 정신건강서비스에서 보험제도가 어떻게 활용되고 있는지 탐색적으로 알아보고자 하였다. 마지막으로본 연구의 제언 및 후속연구의 필요성을 언급하였다.
Currently, in South Korea a desirable mental health service system plan for local community have been under discussion. Inparticular, opinions are divided over effective mental health treatment methods and accessibility enhancement. The purposeof this review is suggesting improvement plan and discovering problem of local community mental health service system inSouth Korea by comparing case reviews of U.S. and South Korea. In this review, the researcher examined each the therapymethod, service delivery system and how mental health service is applied in insurance policy in both countries. At the end ofthe review, the researcher emphasized the suggestion of the review and need of further investigation for it.
