본고에서는 근대 한국 문학 속에서 이시카와 다쿠보쿠로부터의 영향과 수용 등의 문학적 실체를 살펴본 이전의 논문에 대해 영향의 내면에 내포되어 있는 의의에 관해 고찰한 것이다. 일본의 국민시인 이시카오 다쿠보쿠에 대해 한국의 많은 문인들이 경도하여 그의 모티브와 시적 제재에 자극 받아 각각의 작품의 투영시킨 영향과 수용이 지니는 그 의미는 무엇일까? 즉 한국에서의 다쿠보쿠 문학의 수용은 당시 엄혹한 피식민지 치하 등 엄혹한 시대 상황과 결부지은 우리만의 아주 특수한 예이었을까? 물론 이 점을 간과할 수 없지만 당시 일본 내에서도 다쿠보쿠 사후 무척 인기 있는 작가였음을 고려할 때 특수한 예라고 단정 짓는 것은 매우 위험하며 그것이야 말로 오히려 우리문학의 외국문학 수용에서의 경직성을 인위적으로 만들어버리고 만다. 당시 영향을 받은 많은 문인들은 일본에서의 유학 체험을 지니고 있으며 동시대에 다쿠보쿠의 많은 작품들도 출판되고 있어 적지 않은 영향을 입었다고 보인다. 즉 다쿠보쿠 수용은 비교문학 연구에서 영향을 언급할 때, 가장 소중한 요소 중 하나인 중개자 없이 직접적인 영향이라 할 수 있다. 이렇게 생각해 볼 때, 다쿠보쿠 문학의 한국내 수용에서 간과할 수 없는 것이 한국과 일본에서의 문학적 독자 수용이 거의 동시적으로 수용되고 행해졌다는 사실이다. 설사 시간적 차가 있다고 하더라도 그것은 거의 미미했을 것이다. 그렇다면 한국에서 다쿠보쿠 수용이 적극적으로 행해진 것은 다쿠보쿠 시문학이 지니는 문학성에 탐닉했기 때문이라고 보는 것이 오히려 타당하다. 그 문학성은 근대 생활인으로서의 다쿠보쿠, 그리고 학력사회에서 낙오된 선각자로서의 초조감, 나아가 패배감, 피로감, 자기 연민의 정 등이 한편으로는 가족애와 자기 처신의 반작용으로 극대화된 자긍심과 자부심 등으로 시적 승화된 것이다. 이 문학적 특성이 당시 일본을 비롯하여 한국의 독자에게도 적지 않은 자극을 안겼다는 것을 백석과 박태원 등의 수용과 영향에서 음미할 수 있다. 그리고 이것은 다쿠보쿠가 문학의 <필요성>에 기초한 근대 생활인으로서 어느 누구나 공감할 수 있는 제재의 문학적 승화였다. 여기에서 우리는 다쿠보쿠의 시간과 공간을 넘는 보편적 문학성과 이에 바탕을 둔 세계문학으로의 가능성을 엿볼 수 있다.

The literary character of Takuboku is a sense of frustration as a perpetrator, a sense of defeat, tiredness, and self-compassion, which have fallen out of modern society and academic societies. Here, we can see the possibility of universal literature beyond the time and space of Takuboku and world literature based on it.
