거대한 물질문화 앞에서 한국교회가 살아남을 수 있는 길이 무엇인가? 교회의 가장 중요한 본질은 예배에 있다. 그러므로 예배가 무엇인가의 문제와 어떤 마음으로 예배를 드리는가가 중요하다. 예배 드림은 기업 경영에도 영향을 미치게 된다. 예배가 무엇인가의 문제는 현대 한국 교회의 본질에 대한 성찰에 대한 중요한 문제이다. 예배는 피조물인 인간이 창조자이신 하나님을 기억하고 경배하고 찬송하는 행위이다. 요한복음 4장 19-26절에서 요한은 하나님의 완전한 계시자이신 예수를 통해 불완전한 인간이 어떻게 하나님께 참된 예배를 드릴 수 있는지에 대하여 말한다. 참 예배는 ‘영과 진리’로 드리는 예배이다. 예배는 역사성을 가지면서 동시에 초역사적이다. 그런데 역사 속에서 어떻게 참 예배를 드릴 수 있는가? 영과 진리 안에서 드리는 예배가 참된 예배이다. 예배의 대상은 하나님 아버지이므로 참된 예배는 하나님 아버지께 드리는 예배이다.(참조. 요 4:21-22) ‘새 시대를 여는 종말론적 시간’에 예배의 대상을 바르게 인식할 때 비로소 참된 예배를 드릴 수 있다.(요 4:21) 이 논문에서 필자는 ‘예배의 본질’에 대한 문제를 다루었다. 예배의 본질 문제는 ‘영과 진리로’ 예배를 드리는 데 있다.(참조. 요 4: 23-24) 그리고 예배의 조건은 예배를 받으시는 분이신 그리스도를 바르게 인식하는 것이다.(참조. 요 4:25-26) 영이시고 진리이신 예수 그리스도를 바르게 인식할 때 참된 예배를 드릴 수 있다. 그는 완전한 계시자이시고 ‘주님’이시며 ‘하나님’이시다.(참조. 요 20:28)
What is the way in which the Korean church can survive in front of a huge material culture? The most important essence of the church is worship. Therefore, it is important what kind of worship is and what kind of worship it is. The question of what is worship is an important issue for reflection on the essence of the modern Korean church. Worship is the act of remembering, worshipping, and praising God, the creator of the creation of man. In John 4:19-26, John told how incomplete humans could provide true worship to God through Jesus, the perfect revelator of God. True worship is a service of spirit and truth. Worship is both historic and primitive. But how can you worship in history? Worship in spirit and truth is a true service. This essay is based on the following words: 1. “What to worship : worship to Father (21-22),” 2. “The essence of worship : worship in spirit and truth (23-24).” And 3. “Conditions of worship : A Good Recognition of Christ” (25-26) The object of worship is the Father of God ; therefore, the true service is to the Father of God (21-22) True worship could be performed only when the object of worship is correctly recognized in the “apocalyptic time to open a new era” (present 4:21). The question of the essence of worship is in the spiritual and worship service (cf. vv. 23-24). The conditions of worship must be recognized correctly in Christ, who is being worshiped (cf. vv. 25-26). True worship is given when we correctly recognize the spirit and the truth of Jesus Christ. He is the perfect revelator, the Lord, and the God (cf. John 20:28)
