본 논문에서는 스마트교육 기반 디지털교과서 활용 수업이 초등학생의 21세기 학습자 역량에 미치는 효과를 분석하고 만족도를 조사하였다. 이를 위해 교육과정 및 21세기 학습자 역량 요소 분석, 디지털교과서 활용 방안 및 적용할 수 있는 교육용 앱 등을 분석하였고, 이를 통해 20차시의 교수-학습 과정안 및 활동지를 개발 및 적용하였다. 연구 대상은 디지털 교과서 활용교육 연구학교인 인천 H초등학교 4학년의 5개 학급 119명을 연구 집단으로 선정하고, 디지털 교과서를 활용하지 않는 학교 중 연구 대상과 생활 여건 및 학업 성취 수준이 비슷한 인천 A초등학교 4학년의 5개 학급 121명을 비교 집단으로 선정하였다. 연구결과 스마트교육 기반 디지털교과서 활용 수업은 21세기 학습자 역량요소 중 의사소통능력을 제외한 모든 영역에서 비교집단에 비해 향상 폭이 크게 나타났으며, 만족도는 조사한 5가지 분야에서 모두 높은 것으로 나타났다.
This paper examined the effects of digital textbook-based smart education program on the skills of 21st century Learners and the lesson satisfaction of learners by developing and applying smart education based digital textbooks utilization lesson materials. As the result, the learning activities with digital textbooks based smart education had positive effects on the skills of 21st century learners in the research group. There were especially prominent improvements in critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and in creativity and innovative abilities with significant results in the remaining five areas.
