과학기술의 거대기계는 그 어느 때보다도 삶의 구석구석에 침투하여 우리의 말과 생각, 행동과 존재를 통제하고 또 생산한다. 새로운 압제를 자유로 착각하게 만드는 현대 과학의 권력/지식을 이해하고 그것에 저항하기 위해서는 과학적 재현과 정치적 대표의 문제 representation를 하나의 궤로 볼 수 있게 하는 아나키스트 과학관에 주목할 필요가 있다. 이 글에서는 서로 다른 시대적 배경과 과학 개념, 상이한 목적과 논리를 바탕으로 하는 고전적 아나키즘, 인식론적 아나키즘, 포스트아나키즘의 과학관을 중심으로 그 의미와 한계를 논의한다. 이러한 접근은 근대성과 탈근대성, 아나키즘과 과학, 지식과 인간/사회의 문제를 종적, 횡적으로 가로지름으로써, 현대의 우리가 서 있는 위치를 보다 입체적인 관점에서 파악하도록 하고 이 사상들이 공유하고 있는 인간중심주의라는 한계에 대해 재고할 수 있도록 할 것이다.
The mega machine of science and technology controls and produces our thoughts, behaviors and being in a deceptive way more than ever, permeating every single corner of our lives. Anarchist views on science which reject all forms of domination and hierarchy would be a useful mean to understand and resist this power/knowledge associated with modern science. In this regard, this paper discusses different perspectives on science as understood in classical anarchism, epistemological anarchism, and post-anarchism, that lead to different insights into the epistemology and politics of science. Reflections on their contributions and limitations, crossing borders between modernity and postmodernity, anarchism and science, knowledge and society, could enrich our understanding of where we are and provide the opportunity for a reconsideration of anthropocentrism that they have in common.
