구술 서사는 소수화된 존재들에게 오히려 지혜가 ‘있다’고 이야기한다. 구술 서사는 소수자들에게 호랑이나 도깨비와 같은 비현실계의 도움이 ‘있다’고 이야기한다. 구술 서사는 삶의 최종심급에서는 저승과 같은 초현실계의 도래가 ‘있다’고 이야기한다. 구술 서사는 소수화된 존재들에게 ‘있는’ 것들이 이들 존재들에게 닥친 불행을 수정할 수 있다고 말한다. 구술 서사는 소수자들에게 ‘있는’ 것들이 개인적 혹은 집단적 불의에 의해 초래된 그릇된 현실을 바로 잡아 준다고 말한다. 소수자의 정의는 하나의 서사 단위 안에서 소수자들에게 ‘있는’ 것들에 의해 그릇된 현실이 바로잡혔다고 이야기될 때, 바로 그때 나타났다가 사라지는 관계들의 효과에 붙이는 이름이다.
How is justice for minorities achieved in oral narratives? Oral narratives tell us that those who are marginalized, and therefore form a minority, in fact possess wisdom. In oral narratives, minority characters receive the help of the fantastical world in the form of things such as tigers and goblins, and these narratives ultimately suggest the arrival of surreal worlds such as the netherworld. Folktales tell us that what minority beings 'have' help to rectify the misfortune of these beings and a reality that has been warped by personal or communal injustice. Minority justice is a term used to describe the impact of the relationships that appear and disappear when a distorted reality is temporarily corrected within a story.
