이 연구의 목적은 입양부모의 입양관련 활동경험을 이해하고자 하는 것이다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여, 이 연구에서는 입양부모들을 대상으로 한 심층면접을 통해 입양관련 활동경험에 대한 자료를 수집하고 질적 연구접근 중 하나인 질적 사례연구 방법을 통해 분석하였다. 자료분석은 세 가지 입양관련 활동들을 사례로 규정하여 각 활동별로 입양부모의 입장에서 분석하는 사례 내 분석과 각 활동의 범위를 넘어서 입양관련 활동들을 통해 공통 적으로 경험하는 것들과 차이점들을 분석하는 사례 간 분석으로 이루어졌다. 사례 간 분석을 통해 나타난 주제들은 ‘다중결과성 또는 동등결과성’, ‘관계의 중심성’, ‘변화의 지점 찾기’, ‘활동 그 자체의 의미’, ‘입양가족으로서 성장하기’ 등이었다. 연구결과에 근거하여 입양가족의 적응을 돕기 위한 사후서비스 차원의 활동들을 기획할 때 고려해야 할 지침들을 제안하였다.
The purpose of this study was to understand the experiences of adoptive parents in activities related with adoption. To accomplish this goal, researchers collected data on the adoptive parents experience of activity related with adoption through in-depth interviews with adoptive parents, and analyzed the data through qualitative case study approaches. In the data analysis, the three types of adoption-related activities were defined as cases, and the analyzes were made in the case of adoptive parents' perspective in each activity. The topics emerged from between-case analysis are as follows: ‘multifinality or equifinality’, ‘centrality of relationships’, ‘finding a point of change’, ‘meaning of the activity itself’, ‘growing as an adoptive family’. Based on the results, the practical guidelines to be considered when planning activities to help the adoptive family adapt were presented.
